The success of Irish Coffee did not go unnoticed and there was a person with a longing for a similar dessert - a drink with a Mexican flavor influence. This cocktail is essentially Tequilas response to Whiskey. Victor Bergeron's restaurant Señor Pico was the first to serve it under this name and with a recipe that we still use today.
